My classic car obsession/passion

21 Jan

I’ve been into classic cars since I can remember. My dad used to work on his (now mine)gold 67 Ford Fairlane Ranchero. My passion didn’t really begin until I was in my late teens. He passed, and the car was sold to me by my mum for $1 which in Cali was the title transfer fee. My dad used to use it as a word “truck”, but now since he’s passed, I decided to just keep it clean and on the tarmac. I’ve never been to one day of auto tech school, so much of what I do is a combination of what I already know (some of it’s wrong), youtube videos, and professional auto tech tips and techniques.

One thing I’ve learned over the years from my dad working on the car is to not put the absolute least expensive part on it and expect it to last or perform well. Another thing is to replace things when they go out, not trying to revive a dead part, such as a starter.
